Stakeholder Pensions The very minimum pension an employer has a legal obligation to provide their employees (5 or more) with is a Stakeholder pension wrapper. The does not currently require the employer to contribute to this pension but they must be prepared to deduct the employees’ contribution directly from their salary and pass this payment onto the pension provider.
