Long Term Planning A half or one day course designed for delegates all ages up to retirement. This course is constructed to help you prepare for expected and unexpected life events, from moving home to the birth of a child to the loss of a loved one to the financial implications of a long term illness. Forewarned is forearmed so we will discuss how the good and the bad can be planned for which will allow you to create a personal financial planning strategy that is constructed around your needs and objectives, therefore providing you and your family with peace of mind and financial security. Estate Planning A half-day course, which allows delegates to quantify their current Inheritance Tax (IHT) Liability and to plan how best to reduce it or mitigate it totally. The course includes: • Calculating your IHT liability • Nil Rate Band Planning • Trust Planning • Gifts • Deeds of variation • Protecting your IHT liability The Financial Services Authority does not regulate taxation and trust advice and some types of off-shore investments. Long Term Care A topical half day course designed to clarify the Community Care Act and identify if your assets are at risk and if so how to protect them. The course includes: • Long term care 'the rules' • How to arrange assets to minimise your exposure • How to protect your life savings and property • The next step Portfolio Construction A series of courses designed for the sophisticated investor with over £250,000 to invest, to look at all the investment vehicles available, their merits, and how to create the right strategy for you.
